𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞̀𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 : 𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐜 𝐥’𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐞𝐭 Caring Response Madagascar Foundation

Suite à l’intervention d’urgence après le cyclone, les activités de relèvement se poursuivent activement.

Nous sommes actuellement en phase finale de 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟐 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, destinées à améliorer les conditions sanitaires des communautés touchées.

2 latrines ont été construites pour l’association Samarien Antanambao 5.

Leurs anciennes installations de type WC Ecosan, mises en place auparavant par l’ONG Saint Gabriel, ont été totalement détruites par le cyclone. Aujourd’hui, elles bénéficient de nouvelles latrines, plus simples et adaptées à leurs besoins.

10 latrines ont été construites à Ambalamanasy et Ambalamanasy Carreaux 2, pour soutenir 10 ménages vulnérables.

Ces familles faisaient face à de grandes difficultés d’accès aux toilettes, une situation d’autant plus préoccupante qu’elles accueillent également des étudiants vivant à proximité de l’université.

Le principal défi rencontré sur le terrain reste la construction dans une zone à forte présence d’eau, rendant l’installation des latrines plus complexe.

Following the emergency response to the cyclone, recovery efforts are still actively ongoing.

We are currently in the 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟏𝟐 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬,

aimed at improving sanitation conditions for affected communities.

2 latrines have been built for the Samaritan Association of Antanambao 5.

Their previous Ecosan toilets, originally provided by Saint Gabriel NGO, were completely destroyed during the cyclone. They now have new, user-friendly latrines adapted to their needs.

10 latrines have been constructed in Ambalamanasy and Ambalamanasy Carreaux 2, benefiting 10 vulnerable households.

These families faced serious challenges accessing proper sanitation facilities. In addition, many of them host university students living nearby, as the area is close to the university.

One of the main challenges in this project has been construction in waterlogged areas, which makes building safe and durable latrines more complex.
